
Mark Landkamer founded Landkamer Partners with the goal of taking brands to the next business level, providing thorough client service, and maintaining consistent creative excellence. He is responsible for directing all corporate brand identity design and communications programs undertaken by the firm.
Before founding Landkamer Partners in 1990, Mark served six years as Design Director at Landor, the global branding agency. His work at Landor included business brand and image development programs for Asiana Airlines (Korea), British Airways, Japan Airlines, Garuda Indonesian Airlines, Duty Free Shoppers, Benetton, and Bailey Banks & Biddle Jewelers. Earlier in his career, Mark was a creative team member at Bright & Associates in Los Angeles. His clients there included Holland America, Sitmar Cruise Lines, and Pizza Hut. He also developed signage programs for ABC News in Los Angeles and Washington while at Fiori & Associates.
Mark is an honors graduate of Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles. His work, and the work of Landkamer Partners, have garnered over 200 awards and citations for excellence. When not swamped with brand image development, Mark is out birding in The Bay Area and blogging or tweeting about it.

In his 20-plus years as a brand identity design specialist, Gene Clark has created many brand identity elements and signatures that have been recognized internationally. Gene joined Landkamer Partners at its inception in 1990. He has also worked as a design team member at Landor Associates, CKS Partners (marchFIRST), and others.
As senior brand designer at Landkamer Partners, Gene is responsible for developing corporate, product, and brand identities and for creating identity systems for packaging and literature. Gene has extensive experience with technology, financial, and consumer-product programs.
Gene’s passion for graphic design began at California State University, Chico, where he studied visual communications. Most days, Gene can be seen walking his English Bull Terrier around the neighborhood. He is such a fan of the breed that he currently serves as vice president of his local bull terrier club. Gene also enjoys practicing calligraphy and hand lettering, skills which have contributed to many identity solutions.

Jay is responsible for producing and programming all of our website, email marketing, and multimedia projects. He has produced HTML, CSS, web graphics, presentation graphics, and Flash animations for Accellion, AltaMed, Balance Point, BrightScale, Charles Sparks + Co., Gomez, Notiva, Nuance, Performant, Saba, VFI, and many others.
Before joining Landkamer Partners, Jay produced cross-platform CD-ROMs for Pacific Bell and interactive Flash animations for Pacific Bell/SBC, Transmeta, and Merant. He also created HTML and Flash for Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Chevron, Smith & Hawken, Hewlett-Packard, Gap Inc., and others.
Jay began his career as an editor at Anderson Publishing Company, worked at several small newspapers, and was Associate Publisher of Gnosis Magazine. He is also webmaster for the Northern California Independent Booksellers Association. In 2009-2010 he was Managing Editor of h+ Magazine, finally able to write and edit professionally about his interests in science, technology, and the future. A number of his h+ pieces got noticed by major websites such as Slashdot, Wired, and Instapundit, and led to is appointment to the Board of Advisors of the Lifeboat Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to defending humanity from existential risks.
A graduate of the University of Michigan, he continued his studies at Academy of Art University, San Francisco.

A seasoned graphic designer in Silicon Valley for more than 20 years, Cheryl joined Landkamer Partners in 1990. She brings a unique set of skills that come from her experience in both brand identity design and illustration. Cheryl’s responsibilities include design, art direction, and project management for business brand identity and communications programs. She has expertise in package design, literature systems, and web site development.
Before joining Landkamer Partners, she was an art director at Apple. Cheryl has also worked as a design team member at Adobe Systems, Cisco Systems, Stanford University, Fitch: RPA, and McGraw-Hill.
Currently she is part of an abstract figurative painting group that meets regularly and finds inspiration hiking the hills above her studio near Stanford. Cheryl received a degree in graphic design and packaging from Art Center College of Design, Los Angeles and continues to pursue classes in painting, printmaking and digital media.

Susan’s responsibilities include design, typography, and final production phases on print projects for such clients as NetApp, Taleo, Accellion and AltaMed. Susan has also developed CSS and HTML for web projects including Charles Sparks + Co and Accellion. She has more than 15 years experience in print and web site development.
Before joining Landkamer Partners, Susan designed numerous corporate brand identity and brand image programs for diverse clients such as Oracle, Autodesk, CMP Media and PeopleSoft. She has also produced titles for Prentice-Hall and Lark Books. Other online projects include websites for Lightspann and Open Range Communications.
Susan enjoys speaking—and eating—Italian, playing keyboards in pickup jam sessions whenever possible and taking online classes at CCSF to hone her web and coding skills. She is “dog walker par excellence.” Susan received a BA in printmaking and painting from the University of California at Santa Barbara and an MA in interdisciplinary studies from California State University at San Francisco.
